In an important initiative to extend the reach of Virginia Tech, the university has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Center for Advanced Engineering and Research in Lynchburg, 90 miles to the east-northeast.
The MOU will be followed by a Master Researtch Agreement. This arrangement may provide a useful model for other regions trying to tap into the resources of a research university. Read more.
