Commerce Lexington and the University of Kentucky have entered into a new, closer coordination of their economic development efforts. UK's small business development center will be moving into the newly renovated offices of Commerce Lexington. Read more.
This step marks one of many taking place in Lexington and the Bluegrass region. With a new Lexington Mayor, Jim Newberry, a spirit of regional collaboration is building in the region.
It's coming just in time. In 2010, Lexington will be the host of the World Equestrian Games, the first time the games will be held in North America. The 2006 games took place in Germany. Learn more.

Some Background on EDPro Weblog
The purpose of this weblog is to help economic development professionals -- EDPros -- keep up with the changes sweeping our profession. Strap on your goggles. It's a whole new game.
