Fort Collins, CO has launched a new branding campaign. They are using the same consulting firm that got into hot water in Longview, TX. (If you recall, the firm developed the phrase "East Texas, Pure and Simple," which was launched in March. It was discarded less than one month later after city officials learned that two other U.S. cities were using the same "pure and simple" tagline, including Crested Butte, Colo., which has the slogan trademarked.)
Hopefully, Fort Collins will have a better outcome. Read more.
