Allegany County launches wireless network

As regular readers of EDPro Weblog know, I think Allegany County, MD stands as a leader among rural counties. Their economic strategy combines cutting edge tourism marketing with leading wireless technology.

On Wednesday, the county launched the second phase of its wireless network. When the network is fully operational, it will connect to 85 percent of the county residences, 90 percent of the businesses and 100 percent of the industrial parks. Read more.
