Seattle's music industry

On the night of the Grammys, Seattle's mayor released a report indicating that the city's music industry generates 8,700 jobs. Read more.

We can trace the connection of music to economic development to Austin, where informal economic histories make the connection between the emergence of Austin's music scene and its high tech economy.
