Rural development and clean energy

As we move toward more renewable sources of power and distributed power generation, energy development is moving to the center of the rural development agenda. You see it in the wind power projects that are coming on line.

Two or three years ago, renewable energy was still looked upon as marginal and irrelevant for farmers, but now more farmers and rural leaders are recognizing it can be an excellent tool in economic development."
