More collaboration is emerging and Evansville, IN. The Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel is pushing the collaboration, and he stands as an example of a new generation of political leaders willing to collaborate across political boundaries. Read more.
We can see another good example with the new mayor of Lexington, KY, Jim Newberry. The mayor has proposed an 18 county regional summit to explore collaboration in the Bluegrass. Read more.

Some Background on EDPro Weblog
The purpose of this weblog is to help economic development professionals -- EDPros -- keep up with the changes sweeping our profession. Strap on your goggles. It's a whole new game. One other point: the prevaling approach (paradigm, if you like) in economic development is shifting from competition to collaboration.
