Here's an interesting story out of Georgia. A legislative storm is brewing over efforts to limit billboard heights in the state.
In exchange for agreeing to a height limit of 75 feet, the billboard lobby wants to mow down trees within 500 feet of their signs. Read more.
I must admit that after working in a number of rural counties trying to preserve the rural character of these places, I don't have too much sympathy for the peddlers of litter on a stick.
