Thanks for all those who participated in the on-line survey.
Here's what I found:
About half of you want the ability to comment on articles.
Slightly more than half of you want the ability to interact with other readers.
Most of you want access to my reports library. (I'll have to figure out how to do this.)
On web casts and podcasts, the verdict is evenly split between yes, no and not sure.
I will be keeping the basic free format of EDPro, since most people like that.
I may figure out some sort of premium service to help me pay for a more extensive and interactive site that some of you seem to want.
Also, I appreciate all your comments of support. I will try to expand my comments, as many of you suggest.
For those of you who have signed up to be beta testers of a new site, I'll be connecting with you in the next week or so to tell you what I have in mind.

Some Background on EDPro Weblog
The purpose of this weblog is to help economic development professionals -- EDPros -- keep up with the changes sweeping our profession. Strap on your goggles. It's a whole new game. There are no experts any more. The only place to learn about economic development is from other EDPros who are doing it.
One other point: the prevaling approach (paradigm, if you like) in economic development is shifting from competition to collaboration. There are a lot of reaasons underlying this shift, but here's the important insight: You, your community, and your region will do better by collaborating and sharing information.

Speaking and workshops on Open Source Economic Development
As the idea of Open Source Economic Development starts spreading, more people are asking about it. Visit the I-Open web site to learn more. My colleagues and I are happy to explain the basic concepts in a talk or a workshop. E-mail Susan Alshuler if you'd like to learn more about workshops and speaking.
