Enlisting students to help find a way forward

A commentator in Jacksonville, Florida has an idea: "Enlist the fresh eyes and eager intellects of college students to take all the area civic and government studies of the past 30 years and determine what did and didn't work, and what could or couldn't work. And why." Read more.

It's a good idea.

Indeed, at Michigan State, they have a solid model. They have enlisted undergraduates to a research seminar called "Michigan Futures in the Global Economy". The students prepare an annual report for delivery to the legislature. Read more. Visit the web site.
