Update on Massachusetts life sciences

A new report on the life sciences industry in Massachusetts explores the growing competition facing these companies. Massachusetts continues to boast the highest geographic concentration of life sciences firms.

Industry backers are not satisfied with the state's business climate, though. They argue taht the state is not investing enough in life sciences, given the expanding competition from other states and countries. Read more. You can download the report (after a free registration) from this page.

Politics is another matter though. Also last week, a top legislative leader suggested that a bond referendum to help the industry fund research was not going anywhere. Read more.
