MA: Big bucks for bio

At BIO2007, the Massachusetts governor made a big splash by announcing a $1 billlion commitment to life science research.

Over 10 years, the state will issue $500 million in bonds to finance related capital improvements at public institutions in the state. It will provide $25 million per year in research grants and $25 million in tax credits. Read more.
