Branding is an important component of economic development. But logos are not brands.

The Eastern Shore of Virginia has launched a new logo and is continuing to work on its branding. Read more.

Branding represents the deeper stories of a region, a consistent set of experiences. A regional brand represents a platform from which others implement aligned strategies. These folks working on the Eastern Shore seem to recognize that fact.
