As we move toward a more distributed power system, rural communities have opportunities to develop "energy islands" that both take their community off the grid and provide export power.

Last week, we held a planning session for BioTown in Reynolds, IN. We explored the education and workforce development implications of creating a new rural-based strategy for distributed energy production.
