Hawaii puts innovation framework in place

Hawaii's governor has seized on the idea of moving the Hawaii economy toward an innovation agenda. She introduced a series of bills, four of which have been enacted. Read more.

Most interesting to me is the first legislation enacted to accelerate science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education. They establish two STEM academies, aswell as an intiaitive to set up project-based learning profgrams in grade 4 through 8.
