Monte Vista, CO focuses on the migration of sand hill cranes.

Wray, CO promotes the mating rituals of prairie chickens.

These rural communities are working with state and federal wildlife officers to accelerate the development of "eco-tourism" (although they may not call it that). The state has stepped forward with a web site to promote the Colorado Birding Trail. Read more.
