New community college head in Indiana

In Indiana, a new president is assuming his responsibilities next week at Ivy Tech, the state's community college system. Not an academic, Tom Snyder instead managed in large manufacturing companies in Indiana for decades. As he likes to point out, we was for years a customer for Ivy Tech graduates.

Snyder will face a lot of challenges, and he has ambitious plans. His efforts will determine, in part, Indiana's progress in accelerating post-secondary education. Read more.
