Revitalizing the economy of upstate New York presents daunting challenges. The state's new governor hopes to make progress by appointing a chair of the Empire State Development Corporation and basing him in Buffalo.
In a recent breakfast, the new head of New York's upstate strategy outlined his three-pronged approach.
The basic strategic themes are very broad, so the challenge -- as in most things -- will come down to focus, persistence and execution. Read more.
