Alabama Rural Action Commission continues rollout

Alabama's Black Belt Commission has mobilized volunteers to launch initiatives in the poorest counties in the state. Now the governor wants to replicate the model for other rural Alabama counties. The Alabama Rural Action Commission is focusing on four areas in phase one of implementation: Economic Development, Workforce Development, Health and Education.

A couple of weeks ago, he was in North Alabama to launch the effort in that region. Now he's launched the effort in the western part of the state. Read more.
