A delegation of civic leaders from Tucson, visited Portland, Oregon.
Civic leaders in Portland are highly regarded for their ability to develop a complex, livable city. At the same time, Tucson is facing major growth pressures. The politics of local planning are controversial.
Here are some observations by one of the participants in the delegation on what Tucson can learn from Portland. Read more here and here.
