The University of Virginia is retooling its economic development efforts. Part of the impetus comes from the the recently enacted plan to restructure the state's higher education system. As part of a bargain to gain more autonomy, the University agreed to step up its economic development efforts.
The new Office of Economic Development plays the critical role of connector between the university's research and the market. Read more.
