Georgia operates the Wireless Communities, Georgia initiative that provides funding to local governments to establish wireless zones.

To qualify for funding, local communities must provide a match. They also must draft a business plan that outlines how the wireless service will partner with private companies and make the service financially self-sufficient. Read more.
