Ten foundations, including the Ford foundation based in New York, are launching a $100,000,000 "new economy" development fund for seven counties in Southeast Michigan. You can read more about their effort here.

Some Background on EDPro Weblog
The purpose of this weblog is to help economic development professionals -- EDPros -- keep up with the changes sweeping our profession. Strap on your goggles. It's a whole new game.
