The Kansas City region is sorting out the difficult issues of collaboration.
In a recent meeting, the mayor of Kansas City, Missouri, Mark Funkhouser, came up with a good quote:
"We need to change the way we think about economic development. We've thought about it entirely in terms of incentives, and that's not correct. We compete with the world as a region. Moving businesses around does not help us compete with the world." Read more.
